Qiu Liwei, Shi Xiaoming, and Shao Jian, along with their team members Li Jiawei and Jiang Lei, have overcome numerous challenges in the development of the Urbeats Silicone Tips. Deliberating the open pore area and position required extensive analysis and model experiments to ensure both auditory meatus comfort and audio quality.

The project, which started in the summer of 2017 in Wenzhou, was completed in the winter of the same year. The team's research into the use of capsule urbeats and the potential harm they can cause to eardrums laid the foundation for this groundbreaking design.

The Urbeats Silicone Tips have garnered recognition for their ingenuity and contribution to improving quality of life. In 2018, they were awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Audio and Sound Equipment Design category.
